Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Modeling Project
Working together with Stanford University we have implemented a program to cut down the time required to evaluate alternative designs for the Skycar ® . In the first phase we are attempting to reduce the time required to implement a change to the computer aided design model of the Skycar ® by developing a fully parameter-ized model. |

This model will take various inputs and determine the impact of each change throughout the design. This will allow us to look at a wide range of alternatives before we manufacture a scale model.
In the second phase, we will establish that the CFD program replicates the results of performance tests on the scaled wind tunnel test model. Once we have matching CFD and scale model wind tunnel test data then we can proceed with an enormous number of optimizations of a computerized model in a short period of time without the need to produce a physical scale model of each new configuration.
