For Immediate Release:
Skycar® Developer To Help Define Requirements For "Highways in the Sky"

New Runway- Independent Aircraft Developer to Team With Government-Industry Coalition To Automate Air Travel

Davis, California, November 11, 2002: Moller International (OTC-Pink Sheets: MLER) announced today that it will be a participating member with the Southeast SATSLab Consortium, a group of government, industry, and academic partners who share the vision of improved personal transportation enabled by the convergence of aviation, air traffic management, and information technologies into a revolutionary concept called the Small Aircraft Transportation System (SATS). The purpose of the consortium is to facilitate demonstrations of the technology in and around Florida in the summer of 2005. Existing members include Raytheon Aircraft Company, AvroTec Inc., Jeppesen, Avidyne Corp, Rockwell-Collins Advanced Technology Center, Advanced Navigation and Positioning Corporation (ANPC), Cogent Corp, Goodrich Corporation, Florida Aviation Trades Association, and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. NASA and the National Consortium for Aviation Mobility collaboratively fund the SATS program for Aviation Mobility partners, which include the Southeast SATSLab Consortium.

The Moller M400 Skycar® design incorporates several features that the Consortium views as essential elements of SATS, such as digital avionics featuring satellite-based navigation systems, integrated onboard computers for coordinated control and display of aircraft operations and status, and simplified controls intended to make the pilot’s job substantially easier than it is in today’s airplanes. More importantly, the Moller vision of the “highway-in-the-sky” concept supports the development of runway-independent aircraft and the future development of business and residential vertiports to facilitate vertical takeoff and landing—VTOL—aircraft like the Skycar rather than being restricted to conventional airports.

About Moller: Moller International was formed in 1983 and is the developer of the Skycar®, a four-person Vertical Takeoff and Landing aircraft currently undergoing initial flight-testing. The Skycar® has the potential to provide an airborne alternative to automobiles in certain cases. The Company is a research and development firm working on new technologies in the field of aeronautics and transportation. Moller International has invested more than 1 million labor hours into the development of the specialized technology in the Skycar®.
